An architectural trailer installation, with various programs and activations including: Listening Room, Reading Room, Café, Rain Watching Station, Sauna, Nail Salon, Bedroom, and Gallery.
The Trailer Lab is a mobile architectural project operating at a directly corporeal and provisional scale. Inspired internally by Herman Hertzberger’s Montessori staircases, the space is designed to cater interchangeably to its various social programs, encouraging hospitality, community-mindedness and social intimacy. It is a proposal for alternative social uses that might inhabit the space of a small residential vehicle or parking spot, and a reflection on our own ability to define and construct our urban environment.
