The Archive Table Caddy is a set of foldable steel and acrylic tables, housed within a custom caddy, each featuring high resolution scanned found images.
The Archive Table Caddy operates in a multitude of formations: “closed,” the caddy itself becomes a kind of table, wherein the tables therein comprise a surface. Alternatively, a table can be laid across the top of the caddy, on an included interior support, so that it is flush with the frame of the caddy. The caddy rests on castors, allowing it to be easily transported.
The tables themselves can also be removed and displayed in a multitude of ways; with legs unfolded, 8 small tables of two different heights operate separately or grouped together, as the legs are offset and interlock to allow a larger surface to be formed. With the legs folded, the tables can be placed on the floor or stacked to create even lower surfaces, or hung on the wall from a kleat embedded on the underside of each unit.
The photographs printed on the underside of each table surface are all scanned found images, carefully selected from the artists collection.
